As we all know, cold storage consumes a lot of electricity, especially for large and medium-sized cold storage. After several years of use, the investment in electricity bills will even exceed the total cost of the cold storage project.
Therefore, in the daily cold storage installation project, many customers will consider the energy saving of the cold storage, increase the energy efficiency ratio of the cold storage as much as possible, and save electricity expenses.
What are the components that consume electricity in cold storage?
If you want to know how to save electricity, you must first understand where the electricity is used?
In fact, during the use of the cold storage, the power-consuming components mainly include: compressors, various fans, defrosting components, lighting, solenoid valves, control electrical components, etc., among which compressors, fans and defrosting account for the vast majority. energy consumption. Then, from the following aspects, we will focus on how to reduce the workload of these power-consuming components, and analyze how to make the use of cold storage more energy-saving and power-saving.
The warehouse is well insulated and sealed to save electricity
The warehouse should avoid direct sunlight as far as possible, and reduce the opening of doors and windows. The color of the warehouse is usually light-colored.
The different insulation materials of the warehouse have a great influence on the speed of temperature loss. It mainly depends on the structure and density of the insulation material. When assembling the combined cold storage panel , the standard method is to apply silica gel first and then assemble, and then apply silica gel to the gap after assembly. The heat preservation effect is good, so the loss of cooling capacity is slow, and the working time of the refrigeration compressor is short. Energy saving is even more obvious. Special attention should be paid to the insulation of the cold storage floor. In addition, if there is a concrete column structure in the cold storage, it is recommended to wrap it with storage panel.
Whether it is air-cooled, water-cooled or evaporative-cooled, maintaining a good heat exchange is very helpful to save electricity. Replacement, after a long time, the accumulated dust and poplar catkins are floating in many places in April and May every year. If the fins of the condenser are blocked, it will also affect the heat exchange, increase the running time of the equipment, and increase the electricity bill.According to the change of ambient temperature, such as day and night, winter and summer, when the temperature is different, adjusting the number of condenser motors to be turned on can reduce the power consumption of the cold storage and achieve the effect of energy saving.
Evaporator selection and defrosting form
There are two common types of evaporators: cooling fan and exhaust pipe. Purely from the perspective of power saving, the exhaust pipe has a large cooling capacity, so it will save more electricity if the exhaust pipe is used.
Regarding the defrosting form of the evaporator, it is more common for small-scale cold storage to use electric defrosting. This is also because of the convenience. Since the cold storage is small, even if the electric defrosting is used, it will not be so obvious that it consumes too much power. If a slightly larger cold storage, If conditions permit, it is recommended to frost with water or defrost with hot fluorine.
Other electrical appliances for cold storage
For lighting in our warehouse, it is recommended to choose LED lighting without heat, its advantages are: low power consumption, high brightness, no heat, and moisture resistance.
For cold storage that frequently opens the storage door to enter and exit, it is recommended to install door curtains and air curtain machines to form a barrier between the inside and outside of the storage and reduce the convection of cold and warm air.
